Introducing the truly portable, compact, and powerful, Rescue Tools.

Ogura Rescue Tools was the first manufacturer in the world to develop a full range of truly portable, lightweight and powerful battery-powered hydraulic cutting, spreading and lifting tools. These tools are in use worldwide by rescue, military, police and security services.

Established in 1928 as a manufacturer of industrial products, Ogura Rescue Tools has a long history of developing extremely reliable and hardworking hydraulic tools for the construction, fabrication and metalworking industry.

In 1999 Ogura applied their knowledge of industrial hydraulics to the rescue and emergency services market to produce the first generation HRS Modular System. The range has now matured into an extensive series of tools.

The Ogura Rescue Tools are ready for immediate deployment and being lightweight, highly portable, and very easy to use, are changing the way the Emergency Services approach many of their tasks. Tasks that before were difficult or impossible can now be easily achieved. The Ogura Rescue Tools can be used by all trained Emergency Service Personnel – it is not necessary to be a weight lifter or fitness fanatic – thereby increasing the pool of possible operators and expanding the response opportunities.

The patented electro-hydraulic pump that is the heart of the system is the end product of many years of experience in the industrial sector to which we have supplied tens of thousands of similar self-contained power tools.

Ogura Rescue Tools have combined the latest battery technology with a patented electro-hydraulic pump system to create a range of powerful, compact, and truly portable tools.

The new battery, which is Lithium-ion, is widely used in the power tool industry and is readily available.

The battery-powered, hydraulic pump can be used with a variety of cutter and spreader attachments, one of which the HRS Stubby Cutter has been used by police to cut through chains and D-locks, such as those used by environmental protestors during non-violent but disruptive protests.

The Ogura cutter is supplied by Vimpex Ltd, specialist suppliers of rescue tools and equipment for the emergency services.
No Gasoline engines or heavy generators. No troublesome hoses or power cords.
